Cursus Hip-Hop

3ème année

Une maturité interprétée

unity & having fun

More diversity, more innovation, more experimentation, more freedom.

Hip-hop culture reflects this vision of the world going in the same direction. We often dance without needing to think about it. We have learned the gestures to do in our daily life, the dance at the heart of our existence.

Broaden the field of analysis by addressing issues relating to the humanities more broadly:

psychology, sociology, art theory, philosophy.

Show the extent of their dance through masterclasses, immerse students in the “realistic” world of dancers, performers and choreographers with a distinct artistic practice, gain insight into their methodology and receive tools that feed their own achievements.

The two-year trajectory culminates in the end-of-studies work which will be made up of two parts:

> Creation and performance

> Reflection and documentation

Basic results of Phase 6:

> Working knowledge of anatomy

> Ability to represent body movement

> Ability to represent rhythmic movement

> Ability to represent movement  in the space

> Fundamental knowledge of experimental hip-hop techniques

> Ability to engage in a critical discourse

> Independent creativity and thought

> Independent research skills

> Understanding of choreographic composition strategies

> Fundamental knowledge of basic interpretation techniques

> Choreographic culture

> Understand the nature of hip-hop and contemporary dance on stage

Phase 6 is ideal for:

> Dancers who wish to develop their dominant dance.

> The practicing dancers wishing to  e listen and interact with the dancers at all levels  in a more experimental way.

> Interested people who feel the need to immerse themselves in their artistic dance practice.

> Students looking for a preparatory year  in the studio before starting a higher education program.

> Students wishing to explore an apprenticeship in technical interpreting skills.

> Interested people wishing to have a career or who feel the need to immerse themselves  inasmuch as  dancer performer.

The program will provide the possibility of  stage experience as a performer of his dance and will lay the foundations for his career as a professional dance.
